Terms & Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS

1. QUOTATIONS & ACCEPTANCE

All quotations are valid for 30 days from date of issue. Acceptance of a quotation constitutes a binding contract between LB Electrical Services and the client.

2. DEPOSITS

A deposit of 25% may be required to secure bookings for larger works (rewires, consumer unit upgrades). The deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the client within 14 days of the agreed start date.

3. PAYMENT TERMS

Payment is due within 7 days of completion of works. Late payments may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate. LB Electrical Services is not VAT registered - all prices quoted are exclusive of VAT where applicable.

4. GUARANTEES & WARRANTIES

All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. Materials are covered by manufacturer warranties. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or alterations by third parties.

LB Electrical Services is a NICEIC Approved Contractor - all notifiable work is certified under the NICEIC Platinum Promise.

5. CANCELLATION

Cancellation by the client more than 14 days before the start date: deposit refunded in full. Cancellation within 14 days: deposit forfeited. LB Electrical Services reserves the right to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances with reasonable notice.

6. ACCESS & PREPARATION

The client must provide safe access to all work areas. Furniture and belongings should be cleared from work zones. LB Electrical Services is not liable for damage to items not moved by the client where reasonable care has been taken.

7. UNFORESEEN WORK

If additional work is discovered during the course of the job (e.g. unsafe wiring behind walls), a revised quote will be provided for approval before proceeding.

8. LIABILITY

LB Electrical Services carries £2M Public Liability Insurance. Liability is limited to the contract value except for personal injury or death caused by negligence.

9. COMPLAINTS

Any complaints should be made in writing within 14 days of completion. LB Electrical Services will investigate and respond within 7 working days. As NICEIC members, unresolved disputes may be referred to the NICEIC complaints procedure.

10. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
